Zeek Rewards Update? What’s Going On?

Zeek Rewards Update? What’s Going On?

Zeek Reards has been all the rage for months and now it’s been all over the news the last few days. So what’s going on with Zeek Rewards?

zeek rewardsZeek Rewards has been all the talk all over the internet. I’m sure I’m not unlike a lot of you, I have been approached by countless people trying to recruit for Zeek Rewards. The internet now has taken a totally different buzz about Zeek Rewards over the last few days.

Here’s what Forbes.com has to say about Zeek Rewards…..

On Friday, August 17, 2012, the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) filed an emergency action in a North Carolina federal court, alleging that ZeekRewards and its founder, Paul R. Burks, were involved in one of the largest Ponzi schemes in history. The move came as many began to question the legality of the operation and whether its promised 1.5% daily returns were simply ‘too good to be true.’

It saddens me anytime this happens; it gives our entire industry a bad name and continues to put the network marketing profession in a negative light. If you are not familiar with Zeek Rewards here is a little bit about the program.

Zeek Rewards operated Zeekrewards.com and Zeekler.com. They are/were owned and operated by Rex Venture Group LLC, an online subsidiary of Lighthouse America. With a little research it looks to be founded by by Paul Burks in 1997. The system is a penny auction site. Penny auction sites themselves are not a new concept; there are quite a few of them out there. Penny sites themselves are a little strange I think personally but I see where people get the value out of them. It works kind of like this.. there is an item up for bit, you pay to PLACE a bid say for example a $1.00 but it only raises the bid a penny. So you are paying to bid but if you win the item you pay a low amount for the item. What was supposed to be different about Zeek Rewards from other penny sites is they were to be paying out 50% of the profit pool every day to its affiliates.

zeek rewardsI know from all of the advertising that I got from reps it was always all you have to do is go in and place an ad every day and you will make money… sounded a little like a something for nothing kind of thing for me which I’m not really into. If something doesn’t truly provide my team or list with knowledge it’s just not something I buy into.

All that being said, the word is really still out on whether or not Zeek Rewards is a genuine company or not. They have been forced to close their doors and I do know with SOO many people advertising there are many people online who either lost a lot of money over the last few days and some that may have lost their entire business.

What I really want to talk to you about today is how to learn from systems like “Zeek Rewards”. In my previous posts I have talked many times about systems that I refer to as “something for nothing systems”. I don’t care for them and shy away from them for one reason and one reason only. If you use something for nothing systems they only bring something for nothing prospects! Personally I don’t want those prospects.

When you are building a business online the system you use to do that is crucial. That system should target your target prospect. The person that you know would be a great potential business partner. In my early years only I spent some time using system that I would refer to as something for nothing systems. What did they get me? I was rewarded with people who wanted to make a quick buck and didn’t want to do a single thing to earn it. When those prospects became business partners in my primary business how much work do you think they did? How valuable was that business relationship? I bet you can guess. It was worthless.

When it comes to picking the right opportunity for you of course do your due diligence. There are some who do that and are still taken advantage of. You have to ALWAYS keep in mind if it seems to go to be true… it probably is. I don’t know enough about Zeek Rewards to say if it was a scam, Ponzi scheme or a legit business. I can tell you however that this kind of thing happens every day.

Today it’s important to go back and remember some of the most basic things that we sometimes forget. Regardless of what your business is or if it was Zeek Rewards you must understand that this industry is no different than any other industry. It will take hard work and dedication to have success. It is possible to build a full time income and residual income but it will NOT happen overnight and it will never happen if you don’t educate yourself. Education will always be power and you can never forget that.

In the network marketing industry systems are a great way to build a business and a very one I prefer myself however, you have to make sure that you are smart about what you are doing. Pick the system that focuses on education and moving your prospect forward. This will make sure you are first moving your business forward and second that you don’t get sucked into the next Zeek Rewards.

Hi there! I understand this is sort of off-topic however I had to
ask. Does building a well-established website such as yours require a massive amount work?

I’m brand new to running a blog but I do write in my diary daily. I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and thoughts online.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations
or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!

      Hi Travis,

It’s no problem. Actually it’s not very hard if you have an easy blueprint to follow. It can get complicated but only if you let it!! I just completed a new training series called Posting For Profit that shows you how to build your blog from the ground up in less than a day, including a lot of bells and whistles and in a way that draws traffic.

You can find the series in my system Online Green Profits. http://www.OnlineGreenProfits.com , I thought it was important enough I even offer the full step by step training to my free members as well to so you can check it out.

Hope that helps and good luck blogging!!
